Mexico Protest's Burger King's New "Texican" Burger Ad
MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico is protesting what it says is a whopper of an insult.
An advertisement for Burger King's chili-flavored "Texican" burger that has run in Europe shows a small wrestler dressed in a cape resembling a Mexican flag. The wrestler teams up with a lanky American cowboy twice his height to illustrate the cross-border blend of flavors.
"The taste of Texas with a little spicy Mexican," a narrator's voice says.

The much-taller cowboy boosts the wrestler up to reach high shelves and clean tall windows, while the Mexican helps the cowboy open a jar.
Mexico's ambassador to Spain said Monday he has written a letter to Burger King's offices in that nation objecting to the ad and asking that it be removed. Jorge Zermeno told Radio Formula that the ads "improperly use the stereotyped image of a Mexican." More...

Easter Egg Roll at the White House

Families who began arriving shortly after sunrise for the White House's annual Easter Egg Roll were greeted by a brilliant but chilly morning.

More than 30,000 people from 45 states and the District will attend the event, according to the White House. This year's theme "Let's go play," encourages U.S. youth to lead healthy and active lives.

First lady Michelle Obama began the official events at about 10:30 a.m.

"Our goal today is to have fun," said Mrs. Obama who was flanked by her husband, President Obama, and their young daughters, Sasha and Malia.

Her lighted-hearted remarks, from a White House balcony, followed those of President Obama and a white-gloved Fergie singing the Star-Spangled Banner.

"I'm not really in charge today," Mr. Obama said. "My sole job...in addition to thanking my buddy the Easter Bunny is to introduce first lady Michelle Obama."

Fergie and Ziggy Marley are scheduled to give musical performances later today.

The White House this year attempted to make the event more open and accessible by offering tickets online, instead of having people stand in line for tickets, in advance, outside of the White House.

Families from as far away as Hawaii, Alaska, California will attend this year, according to the White House.

The temperature at about 8 a.m. was 36 degrees, forcing parents to cover their children's Sunday best in winter coats and wool caps. Temperatures were expected to reach 50 degrees before the event ends in the late afternoon, but rain is expected after midday.

Many of the activities, on the White House's South Lawn, will be broadcast live on the White House Web site: www.whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll

In addition to the performances on the music stage, the White House will broadcast such events as "Celebrity Chefs in the Kid's Kitchen" and readings on the Storytime Stage. Celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn is scheduled to participate.

The White House says this year's souvenir Easter egg is the "greenest" egg in history.

The 2009 egg is made in the United States from Forest Stewardship Council certified hardwood. The certification means the wood comes from environmentally and socially sustainable forests, the White House said. The egg can be purchased at www.whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll.

Bailout Puts Domino's Out of Pizza

Michelle Imsicke isn't one to turn down free food.

Still, an offer from Domino's Pizza for a free medium pie did make her pause for a moment - but only a moment."I heard of them doing things like this, giving discounts, but a free one shocked me," said Imsicke, 38, of Harrison. "But I said, 'If they are doing it, I'm going to grab one.'"
Imsicke got her free pizza, as did many others throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky this week. But no one should have.

In December, Domino's created an online-only promotion for a free pizza using the codeword "bailout," but it never got the green light, said Tim McIntyre, Domino's vice president of communications. "It had never technically been activated, but we hadn't turned it off, either."
Monday night, an "enterprising customer" discovered the deal and spread it on the Internet, McIntyre said. By the time it was shut down at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, nearly 11,000 pizzas were given away. More...

Celebrity chef Oliver reveals menu for G-20 leaders

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver will serve a dinner of Scottish organic salmon, Welsh lamb and a traditional Bakewell Tart for G-20 leaders at the prime minister's residence Wednesday.

Oliver will use traditional ingredients and recipes inspired from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands for the dinner at 10 Downing Street, a statement on his Web site said.

Oliver will cook the meal along with a team of young chefs from the apprentice program at his London restaurant, Fifteen.
Because some guests have special dietary requirements, Oliver said he will be offering vegetarian options for both a starter and the main course.
Here is the menu, as published on Oliver's Web site:
Baked Scottish Salmon with Seashore Vegetables, Broad Beans, Herb Garden Salad, Mayonnaise and Wild Garlic-scented Irish Soda bread. More...
